Called Away by Death of Father

Thos. N. Greer of 934 G avenue received a message Wednesday advising him of the death of his father, John B. Greer, 70, at the family home at Hayti, to attend the funeral, going by the way of St. Louis. Mr. Greer, Sr. had visited several times at the home of his son in Nevada, and last summer he and Mrs. Greer spent several weeks here. He leaves his wife and seven children. The deceased would have been 70 years old Sunday. Thos N. Greer has been an operator at the Rock Island station here for a number of years.
