MRS. MINKLER DIED AT AMES TODAY

FORMER MILFORD WOMAN PASSED AWAY FOLLOWING STROKE OF PARALYSIS

Mrs. H. R. Minkler, 71, former resident of Milford township, but more recently of Ames, died at an early hour today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carl Riggenberger [sic], near Ames, from the effects of a stroke of paralysis which she suffered a few days ago.

The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 2:00 at the Adams Funeral chapel at Ames, after shich the body will be brought to Nevada and interred in the Nevada cemetery by the side of her husband, who died about seven years ago.

Mrs. Minkler, was a native of Roschelle, Illinois, where she was born in 1859, an it was there that she was united in marriage to Hiram R. Minkler. After their marriage they came out to Story county and located on a farm in Milford township, where their children were born and where they lived until they retired and move into Ames probably twenty years ago.

She leaves four children, they being Warren Minkler, the only son whose home is in Philadelphia; and the daughters, Mrs. C. A. Vial of near Sioux Rapids, Mrs. Carl Riggenberger [sic] of Ames and Mrs. L. A. Murphey of New York.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: The daughter of Esther Janette (Van Eman) Minkler was Eloise Edna Minkler who married Carl Herman Ringgenberg (not Riggenberger as stated) on 30 December 1919 in Ames, Story County, Iowa. Her husband was Harmon R. Minkler (not Hiram R. Minkler as stated) whom she married 2 November 1882 at Rochelle, Ogle County, Illinois.
