Mrs. Turner, Pioneer, Died at Maxwell

Maxwell, March 24--Mrs. Fannie Turner, 84, widow of the late Asa Turner, died at her home here Friday night after an illness of two weeks following a stroke of paralysis.

Mrs. Turner was one the real pioneers of the community having lived on a farm south of town, with her husband, for many years and on retiring from farm life they moved to Maxwell to make their home. She was born Fannie Wilder and is survived by a brother, Gus Wilder of Denmark, Ia., and a number of nephews and nieces. They are Harry H. Turner of Glidden, Mrs. Arthur Erwin of Ames, Mrs. Jessie Cordiner, Seattle, Wash., and Miss Daisy Turner of Spokane, Wash. She was a member of the local Methodist church where the rites were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30. Burial was made in the Maxwell cemetery beside her husband* who died a number of years ago.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Fannie Wilder married Asa Turner.
