MRS. EISENLOHR DIED ON MONDAY

PIONEER GILBERT WOMAN PASSED AWAY IN DAKOTA AT DAUGHTER'S HOME

Gilbert, Jan. 28--Word reached here today of the death late Monday of Mrs. Matt Eisenlohr, 78, at the home of daughter, Mrs. Emma Whalen, at Pierpont, S. D., where she had been visiting.

Mrs. Eisenlohr was born in Germany, in 1852 and came to America with her parents when a girl, settling first in Monroe, Jasper county. There she lived until January 8, 1874, when she was united in marriage to Matt Eisenlohr and they established their home on a farm six miles northwest of Gilbert, where they lived until 23 years ago, when they retired and moved into Gilbert.

There their two sons and two daughters were born and raised. They are Frank Eisenlohr and Havana, N. D. and Herman Eisenlohr of Lorimer, S. D., and Mrs. Nellie Rainbolt of Ames and Mrs. Emma Whalen at whose home she died. She also leaves 10 grandchildren. The husband died about a year ago.

The body acompanied by the daughter, will leave Pierpont Wednesday morning and be brought back here for interment in the Gilbert cemetery by the side of the husband.
