Clear Creek – Mrs. Frank Cooper died at the home of her son Ransom, February 8, 1918. Mary Wiser was born in Fairfield county, Ohio, July 8, 1831. They came to Clear Creek township, Jasper county, Iowa, in an early day. Mr. Cooper died in 1914 and Mrs. Cooper has been tenderly cared for by her son Ransom and his wife in their home. She has been very feeble for several years and suffered a stroke of paralysis about a week ago and never revived. She united with the M.E. church in youth and was faithful to the end. Nine children were born to them: Mrs. Grace Leonard, Mrs. Nettie Barbee, Mrs. Mattie Hall, Byron and Alma Cooper, deceased, Mrs. Alice Rawstern of Hitchcock, S.D., Mrs. Edna Stone of Maxwell, Charles Cooper of Collins and Ransom, with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, survive. She also leaves an aged sister in Chicago. The funeral was held at the home Sunday and interment was in the Collins cemetery beside loved ones gone on.
