Leahla Wierson 28, of Ames, passed away June 4, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. A Gathering of Friends will be 2:00 pm-4:00 pm Sunday, June 17, at Adams Funeral Home in Ames.

Leahla Fae Wierson was born December 18, 1989 in Eugene, Oregon. She graduated from Ballard High School in 2009. In 2011 Leahla was married to Garrett Harris and they had two daughters, Ella and Emily they later divorced. On May 6, 2014 she married Matthew Wierson and they had two sons, Everett and Shane. Leahla was a member of First Christian Church in Ames. She did custodial work at the Ames Army Reserve for a private contractor.

Leahla is survived by her husband, Matthew of Ames; two sons, Everett and Shane of Ames; first husband, Garrett Harris; two daughters, Ella and Emily; her mother Rita (Eatough) Dougherty; two sisters, Amanda and Sarah Dougherty.
She was preceded in death by her father Michael Dougherty.
