Obituary From Mitchell Funeral Home, Marshalltown, Marshall County, Iowa.

Inez Duft, 102, passed away, Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Southridge Specialty Care in Marshalltown, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City, Iowa or Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. For condolences or questions please visit: www.mitchellfh.com . Inez Luella Oppedal was born at home in Hamilton County Iowa; she was the daughter of Torkel and Hannah (Anderson) Oppedal. She attended school in the area of her birth and received her honorary high school diploma at the age of 100. In 1953, Inez was united in marriage to Gilbert Nuese, they resided in the Dillion area. He passed away in 1965, and in 1972, she was united in marriage to Carl Duft and they resided in rural Gladbrook area and He passed away in 1982. She had worked for Donnelly Marketing and Iowa State University. Inez enjoyed shopping, traveling, dancing, and helping others, especially her loving family.

Left to cherish her memory are her step-children, Larry (Marcia) Nuese of Marshalltown, Iowa, Donna (Marvin) Neuroth of Marshalltown, Iowa and Darlene (Tim) Rowden of Toledo, Iowa and numerous grandchildren, siblings, Stanley( Barbara) Oppedal and Willard ( Janet) Oppedal both of Ames and sister-in law, Leah Oppedal of Story City, Iowa.

In death Inez rejoins her parents, Torkel and Hannah, husbands, Gilbert and Carl, siblings, Alfred, Leonard, Jean, Esther, Delmar, Gaylord and Leo and step-daughters, Connie Stuckmyer and Charolette Woollard.
