Eric Croft of Slater who was returning from Los Angeles died at Columbus Junction of apoplexy. Relatives and friends were waiting his arrival and were not surprised at his death though they had hoped that he would reach home alive. His remains arrived Friday night and the funeral was held Sunday afternoon from the M. E. church and burial was made in the Sheldahl cemetery. The deceased was seventy eight years of age. He leaves sons Will, Ed and John of Slater, Fred of Sheldahl and Joe of Manvel, Texas.
