Mrs. Lafe Myers.
Mary A. Spencer was born March 14th 1873 and died at her home about six miles northeast of Colo, Nov. 7, 1913. She was married to Lafayette Myers Nov. 29, 1890. To this union eleven children were born, six girls and five boys. Her husband and ten children are left to mourn their loss. The little daughter who was born Monday Nov. 3rd passed to her eternal home after one brief day in this world. Mrs. Myers is also survived by her mother and one sister who live at Ames and two brothers who reside at Garwin. Mrs. Myers was a kind and loving wife and mother and words cannot express the sorrow and grief of her family at her untimely death. She leaves numerous other relatives and a host of friends whose hearts are grieved and who extend heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family. Funeral services were conducted at the M. E. church by Rev. G. H. Johnson Saturday at 3:00 p. m. The floral tributes were many and beautiful. Interment was made in the Colo cemetery beside the little grave so recently made.
