John Kent, a pioneer of Ames died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. F. C. Hunter Monday in his 77th year. His funeral was held from the residence Wednesday afternoon and interment was in the Ames cemetery.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "Mrs. F. C. Hunter" was Adella "Della" Kent who married (1) Edmond Bradford on 9 June 1878 in Story County, Iowa and (2) Florydon C. Hunter on 24 February 1887 in Story County, Iowa.
