Obituary of Mrs. Coady

Lake City Graphic:--Elizabeth Cathryn Dolan was born in Woodstock, Ill., in the year 1866; died at her home in Lake City, Iowa June 24, 1913 at the age of 47 years and 29 days, of pernicious aenemia. She moved to Story county at the age of twelve, residing there until at the age of twenty-three, when she was united in marriage to Mr. John J. Coady.

After their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Coady made their home in Ames for three years, then moving to Dayton, where they resided five years. In 1897 they moved to this city, which has since been their home.

Mrs. Coady had been ill for the past four years, being very kind and patient and never complaining through their long sickness. Her sister, Mrs. Henry Bullock of Colo, has been with her the past two months and all that could be done by physicians, a loving husband, sister and friends, was done, but to no avail.

The mother of Mrs. Coady passed away about fifteen years ago, also three brothers preceded her to the great beyond. Besides her husband, she is survived by her aged father, Peter Dolan of Long Beach, Cal., who was unable to be present at the funeral, two sisters, Mrs. Henry Bullock of Colo, Iowa, Mrs. Lon Dunklebarger of Davenport, Iowa, and one brother, Mr. John Dolan of Fort Worth, Texas.

Funeral services were conducted from St. Mary's church Monday morning at 10:30 by Father Neicendorfer and the remains were taken to her old home at Colo, where they were met at the station by a large number of people, forming a procession three blocks in length. The funeral party preceded to the cemetery one mile distant. Services at the grave were conducted by Rev. Father Nichols of Nevada and music was furnished by a quartet from Nevada.
