Child Drank Metal Polish.
A sad accident that resulted in the death of the two-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Shultz living about seven miles northeast of town (on the Voss place) occurred Thursday afternoon. Mr. Shultz was cleaning his automobile and Mrs. S. was busy with other duties and the little one was playing around. Mr. S. went into the barn and on returning found that the little son had drank the nickel polish he had been using. With not waiting for anything the frightened parents cranked the auto and came to town as fast as possible and in a few minutes they had reached Colo and the doctors were doing all in their power to save the child's life. At one time they had some hope of accomplishing their desire but at about sunset the little one passed away. Sincere sympathy is extended to the heart broken parents and other sorrowing relatives.
