Jacob A. Cole

Jacob A. Cole, a citizen of Story county since 1899, died at his farm home Wednesday evening aged eighty years. He was a native of England, and spent his young manhood in New Orleans. On coming to Iowa he purchased a tract of land on the west side of Iowa State College farm and built a large and comfortable home in the midst of what was then only a wheat field. He has seen almost all of the west side built and it was his greatest pleasure to witness progressions along all lines. He leaves a wife and several sons and daughters.
