OBITUARY
James J Walters
July 18, 1928, to Dec 28, 2000
James J Walters, 72, of rural Hubbard, died of cancer on Thursday, Dec 28, at his home.
He was born July 18, 1928, in rural New Providence to Frank and Marie (Donner) Walters. He was a lifelong rural resident of the Hubbard and Zearing area. On Feb 11, 1947, he married Elena Howard at St Anthony. He farmed for a living, retiring in 1997. He was a member of St Gabriel's Catholic Church in Zearing, and his hobbies were farming and his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Elena, of rural Hubbard; a son, J Harold (and Diane) of Zearing; two daughters, Jennifer (Mrs Kenton) Woster of rural New Providence and Colette (Mrs David) Walters Haaland of Nevada; and six grandchildren.
His parents preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan 3, at St Gabriel's Catholic Church in Zearing. Burial was in the Lincoln Township Cemetery, Zearing. Fredregill Funeral Home, Zearing, handled arrangements.
