Juanita (Nete) Rosburg Heintz Olson passed away August 14, 2017 at Israel Hospice House in Ames, Iowa at the age of 89.
Juanita Mae Rosburg was born to William and Lois Teske Rosburg on August 10, 1928 in Warren Township, Story County, Iowa. She was one of eight children.
In 1947, she married Wayne H. Heintz. Three children were born to this union; Duane, Barb and Randy. Wayne and Juanita owned and operated Heintz Oil Company. Following an injury that significantly impacted Wayne’s health, Juanita continued to work full time at the family business while caring for Wayne and raising their family. Juanita later worked as a bookkeeper at Firestone Tires in Ames.
Juanita married Max Olson in 1982 and became step-mother to his children; Sue, Don and Doug.
Juanita was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Nazareth Lutheran Church. She served as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and the Cambridge Food Pantry.
Juanita was first and foremost a nurturer, nurturing her spouses, children, grandchildren, and large vegetable gardens. She enjoyed camping, bowling, baking, quilting, travel, and most of all, spending time with friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouses, her two sons and daughter, and five siblings; Mildred Silkebakken, Donald (Bud) Rosburg, Dorothy Edwardson and, Patricia Dykstra, and LaVonne McWilliams.
Juanita is survived by her daughters in-law: Nancy Heintz, Terry Heintz, and Jan Bevilacqua; her son-in-law, Wayne Cline; her step-children: Sue (Mike) Frederick, Don (Pam) Olson, and Doug (Julie) Olson; sisters: Marie West and Peggy Woods; brothers and sisters-in-law: Larry Heintz, Dean (Jane) Heintz, Dorothy Heintz, Marjorie (William) Baum, and Nancy (Richard) Vincent; grandchildren: Chris (Roberta) Heintz, Cortney (Chris) Adams, Troy (Colleen) Dubberke, Scott (Lana) Dubberke, Kristen Heintz, Missy (Alex) Binkley, Carly (Frank) Singleton, Kyle Frederick, Cody (Marta) Olson, Kyle (Morgan) Olson, Rachel (Devin) Smith and Joanna (Jeff) Murnan; and nineteen great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, August 22 at 10:30 a.m. at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cambridge, Iowa with Pastor Marcia Kisner officiating. Juanita’s cremated remains will be inurned at 10:00 a.m., at Cambridge Cemetery prior to the church service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cambridge or Israel Hospice House in Ames.
