Former Nevada Woman Dies in Marshalltown Hosp.

Mrs. Wayne Caster, former Nevada resident died Saturday, June 12 in the Deaconess hospital in Marshalltown where she had undergone major surgery from which she never regained consciousness.

She was born in Nevada Feb. 22, 1879, Alma A. Banks, the youngest daughter of former Story County Sheriff A. K. Banks and Sarah Banks. She attended school and lived her girlhood in Nevada where she was married to Bert Allen and moved to Ames where Mr. Allen died in 1928. She was married to Wayne Caster in Princeton, Mo. Nov. 27, 1941.

Funeral services will be Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 p. m. at the Biersborn Funeral Home at Union, with burial in the Nevada Cemetery. The Rev. Ben Harris will be in charge of the services.

Mrs. Caster is survived by her husband, Wayne of Union, two sons Lyle of Knoxville, Tenn., Gale of Wichita, Kan., a sister, Mrs. Edith Shugart and two brothers Arthur Banks and Jay Banks of Nevada, as well as nieces and nephews and many friends who are saddened by her sudden passing. Mrs. Caster, for thirteen years, had lived near Union where she had been active in the community. Mrs. Caster was well known in Nevada and Ames where she spent the greater part of her life.
