Fatality in Ames.

E. J. Moody, aged 28, was fatally injured at the gas plant in Ames Thursday. Moody and other employees had been mending a belt the lastings of which has been broken. When the machine started the belt in some manner caught in the wheel dipping it around and striking Moody at the forhead and fracturing his skull. He died a few hours after without regaining consciousness. He was an Englishman from P[---], Illinois and had been at Ames but a few weeks but had gained respect there. His remains were looked after by the I. O. O. F.
