Jacob Noble who for a nine years was a resident of South New Albany living on what was known as the W. W. Lincoln farm, died last week at this home in Wis. of paralysis. He lived only four hours after a stroke. Mrs. Noble* died 7 years ago, and was buried at Irwin, her former home.

Mr. Noble was buried at the same place last Sunday, he leaves a son 17 years old*, also a widow*, he having married again a few years ago. He was the step father of Mrs. Ray Kurtz* of Dalton, who attended his funeral. Mrs. Noble was about 60 yrs. old, a kind husband and father and a good citizen.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: The "Mrs. Noble" referred to here is Jacob Noble's second wife, Christia A. (Harlan) Johnson. She was first married to John Johnson in 1865. She married Jacob Noble on 1 November 1893 in Tama County, Iowa. She died 10 August 1905 in Story County-- seven years previous to this article as stated. She is actually buried in Redman Cemetery, Benton County, Iowa with James Jacob Noble beside her.

The son referenced in Jay Noble, son Jacob and Christia born 12 July 1894 in Story County, Iowa.

Jacob's widow was Anna Forsythe who was first married to James Campbell McFarland. Jacob Noble married Anna (Forsythe) McFarland on 17 November 1906 at Belle Plaine, Benton County, Iowa.

"Mrs. Ray Kurtz" was Morilla Nancy "Rilla" Johnson, daughter of John Johnson and Christia Harlan. Rilla Johnson married Ray Melvin Kurtz on 19 March 1902 in New Albany Twp., Story County, Iowa.
