Mrs. Kari Johnson Kvam passed away at the home of her son south of Huxley December 8, after a lengthy illness. The funeral took place from Palestine church, Rev. Shefveland officiating. She was born in Norway, came to America with her husband and family in 1858 and to Polk County in 1864. Her husband died twenty-five years ago, five children survive her.
