MAXWELL PIONEER DIED

Mrs. Peter Brown Passed Away Last Week

Mrs. Peter Brown, age 66, of Maxwell, died at her home there on Wednesday morning and the funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. R. M. Shipman of the Methodist church of this city officiating. The funeral was a private one.

Mrs. Brown was the mother of Mrs P. R. Greaves, and Mrs. A. M. Olinger of this city and they with their families were over and attended the funeral.

She leaves besides her husband, eight children, five of whom were with her when she died. Three of the children are residents of Oregon and were unable to be present. Three from nearby were Mrs. Greaves, Mrs. Olinger, H. D. Brown of Shipley, A. J. Brown of Colfax and Mrs. W. P. Rupp of Maxwell.

Mrs. Brown has lived in Maxwell for over 26 years and was well known lady of the community. She had been a sufferer from heart trouble for a number of years.

Mrs. Peter Brown died at her home last Tuesday night from heart trouble which she had been sufferer from for many years. She was sixty-six years of age and leaves to mourn her loss her husband, four sons and four daughters. The funeral was a private affair held at the home last Thursday afternoon and interment was in the Maxwell cemetery.
