YOUNG FARMER IS DEAD
Rex Helm, Who Lived Southeast of City Died.
Rex Helm, age 28 years, who lived on a farm belonging to his uncle Mart Applegate southeast of the city died last night at 9:45, and the body will be accompanied by Arthur and Robert Applegate, cousins of the deceased.
Both Mr, and Mrs. Helm were taken ill about a week ago and the wife who is still in a very critical condition was in the same room with the husband when he passed away. Soon after they were taken ill his mother, Mrs.. Emma Helm of Cherryville and her daughter, Lois, came to assist in caring for them and shortly after they arrived here Miss Lois was taken ill and she is still very low.
Mr. and Mrs. Helm arrived here two years ago the coming February from Kansas, and located upon the Applegate farm. There were no children in the family.
Besides the mother who was with them almost from the start, Mrs. Applegate had been out from this city assisting in looking after their wants and they had had very close medical attention and the assistance of a nurse part of the time, but he continued to grow worse from the very start, despite all that was done for him and death claimed him yesterday evening at 9:45.
