HEFLEY DIED IN KANSAS

Was Former Resident of Story County.

Colo, Dec. 11--John A. Hefley was born April 2, 1852 in Shelby county, Illinois and died in Norton, Kansas, Dec. 4, 1918, age 66 years, 8 months and 2 days. He came to Story county with his parents when a small child and grew to manhood here. In 1883, he moved to Norton, Kansas, where he has since made his home with the exception of a few years which he lived in Colo with his mother during the latter part of her life. He leaves to mourn his loss one brother, Will of Cambridge and a sister, Mrs. Melinda Mathers of Norton besides many other relatives and friends, both here and in Kansas. The relatives present from a distance were Mrs. Mathers and son, Roy Wyatt, from Norton, Kansas, Ed Hefley of Indianola, and Will Hefley of Cambridge. Sympathy of the community is extended to the bereaved ones.
