OBITUARY

DEATH OF MYRTLE HARDY.

Myrtle G. Hardy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Hardy, died at the parental home in this city Thursday morning, following a steady decline in health for several months and a rapid failure of strength for the few days previous to the end. The deceased was born near Johnson's Grove in this county June 13, 1892, and died as stated November 7, 907, aged 15 years, 4 months and 24 days. She removed with her parents to Nevada when she was quite small and had lived here substantially all her life. She was quite large and mature for her years and would generally have been estimated by her friends as older. In spite of her youth she was well known to many more elderly people; and the opinion in which she was held by those who knew her was very high. She had been failing in health since early in the summer, and early in September she was sent to Oklahoma in the hope of better health; but she continued steadily to grow worse while there, and she returned home about a month ago in a very serious condition. Since then she has been plainly the victim of quick consumption and the end has followed quickly. Regrets are many and sincere, and deep sympathy will be extended to the bereaved family. The funeral sill be conducted Sunday afternoon from the Presbyterian church by Rev. Rolfe of Grinnell, a minister of the Latter-Day Saints.
