The funeral of the late Mrs. Mackey was largely attended this forenoon at the Lutheran church and Rev. A. B. Shrader, who returned form Kansas City to his former pastorate to speak words of comfort to his old parishioners and friends, did utter words of consolation with eloquence and feeling; and the shock of a terrible and sudden bereavement was by him made as gentle as it would be made. The other portions of the service were similarly in keeping with the occasion. Of the absent relatives, Mrs. Mackey's son Will arrived yesterday from South Dakota; and her sister, Mrs. Alonzo Hague, arrived last night from Alliance, Nebraska. Of the other relatives some could not be reached in these days of the telegraph strike; and some were not able to get here.
