From Nevada Representative September 27, 1907

The critical illness of Mr. Proudfoot of Indianola, father of Mrs. Shaw, has terminated in his death, and Rev. and Mrs. Shaw have been gone to Indianola to attend his funeral, which will be held there Saturday afternoon. Mr. Shaw will be home in time to occupy his pulpit next Sunday evening but the morning service next Sunday will be conducted by Presiding Elder Ilgenfritz.

Rev. Shaw arrived home Saturday night from Indianola, shere he had attended the funeral of Mrs. Shaw's father, Mr. Proudfoot. Mrs. Shaw will be home this afternoon and her brother, Dr. Proudfoot of Athens, Tennessee, is also expected today to remain over for a night.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "Mrs. Shaw" was Elizabeth Mariah Proudfoot. She married Rev. Reuben Edward Shaw on 31 December 1889 in Indianola, Warren County, Iowa.
