Death of Mrs. Halford

Mrs. Halford died Thursday morning at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. P. Goodnow where she had made her home since the death of her husband. She had been sick for quite a while and Wednesday afternoon suffered a stroke of paralysis from which without recovering consciousness she died the next morning. The remains will be taken to Manning for the funeral and burial. She was 86 years old and had had 66 years of married life. her husband died at Manning the last of March. She has living here one daughter, Mrs. Goodnow, two grandchildren, Mrs. Sam Donahoo, and Leroy Goodnow, six great grandchildren and one great great grandchildren and hence was the head of five generations. James Halford and Mrs. Ferrell of Manning and Mrs. Nellie Dean of Bradgate were called here by the death of their mother.
