Jeremiah Jesse Greene, 37, of Alton, Illinois, died as a result of an accident on Thursday, April 27 in Alton, Illinois.

Visitation will be at 5:00-8:00 PM on Monday, May 8 at Christ Community Church (5501 George Washington Carver Ave, Ames, IA 50010). Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 9 at Christ Community Church in with Pastor Tom Nesbitt, officiating. There will be a private family burial at a later date.

Jeremiah was lovingly bestowed to Bruce and Nancy Greene in Story City, Iowa on September 4, 1979. He was homeschooled by his parents, which proved to be a labor of love and unwavering attention. Jeremiah attended Des Moines Area Community College and studied business and music. This proved fruitful because he went on to sell Kirby Vacuums and became the top salesman in the country. Jeremiah even tried to sell a vacuum to a man without carpets. Perhaps that was his only failed attempt at a sale.

Jeremiah was in love with life. He was one who would stop everything to help a friend in need, even to his own detriment. His passion for Jesus influenced everyone he met. Many, many people came to the Lord through Jeremiah's insistence on God's truth. He was everyone's favorite uncle because it never pained him to get down to a child's level. He was committed, loyal, protective, and kind. His love for music permeated everything he did and he always had a guitar pick between his teeth and a guitar in his hand.

Jeremiah Jesse Greene will be greatly missed and may his memory be blessed always.

Jeremiah is survived by his parents, Bruce and Nancy Greene of Randall Iowa; and many siblings; Brothers, Nathanael (Irene) Greene of Houston, Texas, Amos (Rachel) Greene of Nevada, Iowa, Micah (Kelsey) Greene of Des Moines, Iowa, Joseph (Rachel) Greene of Nevada, Iowa, Sisters, Lydia (Danny) Meier of Switzerland, Esther (Joel) Meeder of Boone, Iowa, and 15 nieces and nephews who loved him dearly!

He is preceded in death by nephew Asher Greene, of Nevada, Iowa.
