From Fredergill Family Funeral Home obituary, Collins and Zearing, Story County, Iowa:

Evelyn Joyce Wildeboer, 90, of Nevada and formerly of Zearing died Sunday, April 16 at Rolling Green Village in Nevada. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 5:00 - 7:30 p.m. at Fredregill Family Funeral Home in Zearing, Iowa. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Fredregill Funeral Home with Pastor David Burling officiating. Burial will follow at the Lincoln Township Cemetery in Zearing, Iowa.

Evelyn was born to William and Elizabeth (Hill) Heckle in Marshalltown, Iowa on April 13, 1927 where she was raised and educated.

She married George Wildeboer on August 7th, 1953.

She was member of the Zearing Christian Church

She worked for 18 years at Zearing Colonial Manner. She moved to Nevada in 1990 and retired after 18 years of service at the Nevada Central Elementary School.

She is survived by two daughters; Debra (Don) Kockler and Leanne (Ron) Farrington both of Nevada as well as four grandchildren, Andrew (Jessica) Kockler of Madrid, Ashley Kockler of Washington, D.C, Haley (Tony) Redling of Ames, and Logan Farrington of Nashville, Tennessee as well as two great grandchildren, Lexi and Levi Kockler of Madrid and one sister, Bonnie Mason of Sherman, Texas, brother-in-law Maurice Tufte of Gilman, sister-in-law Nancy Heckle of Huxley, and many nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George in 1990, brother Howard Heckle and, Sister Ruth Tufte.
