From Nevada Representative March 15, 1907

County Correspondence

CAMBRIDGE

The mother of Earnest Nelson living west of town who passed away at Des Moines was brought here Monday morning. Funeral services were held in the Lutheran church and the remains laid to rest in the local cemetery. This is a sad blow, as Mrs. Nelson was called upon to see her mother buried last Saturday and her husband to help perform the last sad rites for his mother Monday. The bereaved ones have the heartfelt sympathy of all their friends in this sever trial.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Ernest/Earnest Nelson's wife was Minnie Johnson, daughter of John Ole Johnson and Martha J. Weeks/Wicks. This is the "Mrs. Nelson" referred to in the article. Minnie (Johnson) Nelson had lost her mother, Martha (Weeks/Wicks) Johnson, only the previous week on 7 March 1907.
