Death of Mrs. S. S. HAGUE.

Mrs. Mary Hague, wife of Samuel S. Hague, both former residents of Story county, died on the 4th inst. at their home in Tacoma, Washington. Mrs. Hague was 66 years of age and was a native of Indiana. Her maiden name was Amburn, and her family located sometime in the early day in Benton county of this state. She was married there in the middle '50s to S. S. Hague who had come to Story county as early as 1853 and whom she accompanied as a bride to their home in Richland township. This home was on what is now the James Earl farm south of Johnson's Grove, which farm Mr. Hague owned for many years. They went from here to South Dakota in the early '80s locating at or near Highmore. Afterwards they returned to Story county for a time, but soon went back to Highmore and migrated from there about eight years ago to Tacoma, where they have since resided. Mrs. Hague leaves her husband and six children. The daughters are Mesdames Mildred Halley and Elva Percival, both of Tacoma, and the sons are I. N., of Tacoma; M. L., of Highmore, South Dakota; F. O. of Canisten, New York and O. A., of Plankington, South Dakota. Mrs. Hague belonged to the race of pioneers in Story county, and among the people who were active here in her time the news of her death will be received with very much regret.
