From Nevada Representative Februrary 25, 1907

F. J. Eckles [sic] was called to Princeton, Illinois, Saturday by the death of his father, James Starr Eckles. The latter was in the eightieth year of his age and had been for half a century a leading lawyer of Princeton. He had been in declining health for the past two years, and it had for some time been apparent that the end was not far off. Mr. F. J. paid him what was regarded as a last visit about three weeks ago, and the announcement of his death therefore occasions no surprise to the relatives here. Miss Maria Eckles as well as her father was present at the funeral Sunday coming out from Lake Forest. Mr. F. J. is expected home this evening.
