Death of Mrs. Thomas Brown.
The people of our community were severely shocked last Thursday evening to hear the words passed from lip to lip that Mrs. Brown was dead. The deceased was born in Hudson, Illinois, April 23, 1881. At the age of seven she came with her parents to Iowa and at the age of seventeen was married to Willis Airhart and to them was born one child, a son. After the death of her first husband at the age of twenty she was united in marriage to Thomas Brown and to this union were born two children. She suddenly passed away from the conflicts and sorrows of this wold at her home in Cambridge, Iowa, September 7, 1906, aged 25 years, 5 months and 3 days. The cause of her death was blood poisoning. Only the day before her death she and her husband had walked down the streets of our city together. The next day her form lay cold and motionless in the embrace of the monster death. Funeral services were held at the home last Friday afternoon at two o'clock after which the casket was placed in the hearse and carried to the final resting place in the cemetery of this town. To those who mourn the husband is robbed of a wife, the dear children who have had a loving mother so suddenly removed from their midst we can only say that while we cannot fathom and understand all the dark mysteries connected wit hour lives here below, we cannot commit ourselves to the keeping of the blessed master and He will care for us.
