Death of Mrs. Alber

Mrs. J. Alber died Saturday evening. For the last ten years she had been sickly. On Feb. 2d a large tumor weighing over eight pounds was removed from her by operation, but her weakened system gave way to the terrible strain. She as born the 7th of October 1890 in Peru, Ill. and died Feb. 6th, 1909. On December 2d 1870 she was united in marriage to Rev. J. Alber. This union is blessed with six children, four sons and two daughters. The funeral was held at the Evangelical church Monday afternoon. Presiding Elder Yaggy preached the sermon and the remains were taken to Belmond for interment.
