OBITUARY

Death of Mrs. Reagan

Mrs. Mary Lovina Reagan, wife of M. C. Reagan, died Tuesday afternoon at the family home in the south part of the city and her funeral will be held Thursday at 10:30 o'clock at the Baptist church, in charge of Rev. Shoemaker of the Christian church. Mrs. Reagan was 61 years and 9 months of age. She was a native in Ohio, her maiden name being Plumb. The family have been residents of this county for many years, and she leaves a husband and grown children.

MRS. M. C. REAGAN

Mrs. C. Reagan died Tuesday last after a protracted illness at the family home in the southwest part of Nevada.

Mary L. Plumb was born in Lincoln county, Ohio, January 6, 1847. She came with her parents to Jasper county, Iowa, when about five years of age. Her mother died soon afterward. She was married to M. C. Reagan February 13, 1870. To this union were born eight children, two of whom died in infancy. The oldest daughter, Ella, passed away at the age of 22. Mrs. Reagan leaves to mourn a loving husband and five children. The sons and daughters are Mrs. Rachel Harding of State Center, A. G. of Shipley, H. J. of Colo, Mrs. W. T. Norris and G. C. of Nevada. She also leaves eight grand-children, her step mother, two sisters and six brothers. She united with the U. B. church when about 20. Afterwards her membership was with the Christian church at Maxwell of which she was a charter member and a member at the time of her death. She was a faithful companion, a loving mother, a kind neighbor, and a noble christian character. She suffered much for months and at her death October 6, 1908 was aged 61 years and 9 months. Her funeral was conducted by B. F. Shoemaker of the Church of Christ in Nevada and was attended by many relatives and friends.
