Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Orville Burnis Hauge was born September 9, 1934 to Ole H. and Bertha (Lande) Hauge in Ames, Iowa. He was baptized at Fjeldberg Lutheran Church and confirmed at Palestine Lutheran Church. During high school, Orville was a member of FFA and graduated from Huxley High School in 1952. He married Dolores Brown July 16, 1954. To this marriage, Orville and Dolores were blessed with three children: Kirk, Lori and Mike.

Orville lived his entire life in the Huxley area, farming both grain and livestock. He worked for John Deere as a welder for 13 years. Orvy enjoyed tinkering in the shop, auctions, and coffee with his friends and family. He was very active in Palestine Church, serving as a trustee, member of the Palestine Cemetery Committee, and as an usher for many years. After retirement, he and Dolores enjoyed 17 winters in Mesa.

Orville passed away February 7, 2017 at his winter home in Mesa, Arizona.

Survivors include his wife, Dolores; his daughter, Lori (Marvin) Edwards; his sons, Kirk (Lynne) Hauge and Mike Hauge; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and his sister, Anita Brendeland.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
