Pioneer Coal Man Dead.

John Clemens died at his home in Zenorsville, Boone county, Monday and his burial was at Ontario, Story county Wednesday. His age was 81 years. He was a native of Ireland, came to Iowa many years ago, developed the coal industry at Zenorsville, and accumulated a comfortable fortune He is survived by his wife, his daughter, Mrs. Elmer Paxton, and his sons, J. W. F. and H. S. Clemens.
