Mrs. Daniel Swarm died at the family home in Peoria January 5, aged nearly seventy-five years. She was a pioneer of Polk county in 1855, and her first husband Gustavus V. Cowgill, died there in 1863 while on a furlough from the Union Army. She leaves a husband and six children.
