Death of Perry Golly

The people of this vicinity were greatly shocked last Wednesday morning when learning of the death of Perry Golly, who passed away about 9:40 o'clock that morning. He came home from Des Moines where he was taking a course in dentistry at Drake, for the Thanksgiving vacation not feeling very well but did not complain much, so anxious was he to return to resume his work. The following Monday morning when he was to return, he did not look any better, and felt worse, and upon being persuaded to remain, his temperature was taken which registered 103, a doctor was immediately called and upon examination pronounced the case typhoid fever. He was at once put to bed, remaining but nine short days when death came upon him. The funeral will take place Sunday at 11 a. m. at the Church of Christ, the pastor H. L. Lewis assisted by C. H. Stauffacher, pastor of the Evangelical church, will have charge, after which the remains will be laid to rest in the Zearing cemetery. Perry leaves to mourn his loss a loving father and mother, six brothers, three sisters, and a host of other relatives and friends. The bereaved have the deepest sympathy of the entire community.
