Death of Mrs. Humes Cummings

Mrs. Humes Cummings of Colo died at her home there Friday evening, following after a few days an operation made necessary by disease of the fall bladder, and having undergone last fall an operation for appendicitis. She was forty-three years of age, and she was born and reared and spent the most of her life in Story county. She was Emma Golden, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Golden, who were pioneer settlers south of Nevada, and she has numerous relatives throughout this portion of the county. She was a most estimable woman, and her death will be very greatly regretted. Her funeral was conducted Sunday from the Methodist church at Colo. For many acts of kindness experienced at the time of her illness and death, her husband wishes to make most grateful acknowledgement.
