Quintin James-King Carter was born January 17, 2017 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

Quintin died January 18, 2017 at The University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.

Quintin is survived by his mother, Taylor Nelson of Ankeny; his grandmother, Claudia “Nellie” Nelson of Des Moines; six uncles, Marcus, Ethan, Jayce, Brock, Calvyn and Domynic; one aunt, Tommi; and his godmother, Mercedes Willers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
