ROLAND ROCKETS

The death of Ossie Johnson last week takes from this community one of our very best young men. Ossie was the son of Mrs. Rebecca Johnson and at the time of death was aged about 18 years. He was born and raised here in Roland. During all his young life there was never a charge made against the conduct of Ossie Johnson. He was strictly honorable and upright and his services were always in demand by those who knew him. Though delicate in health for the past few months, his sickness was not thought to be serious by the general public at least, and his death was a sad surprise. He leaves a mother, three brothers and three sisters. His oldest brother, Joseph, is in the navy and could not be present at the funeral. His brother Eddie lives in North Dakota and one sister in Minnesota. Both were present at the funeral, which was held at Salems church Friday afternooon, conducted by Rev. Sandven.
