Mrs. Julia L. Whitson, widow of O. J. Whitson, of State Center, died at her home in State Center Wednesday as the result of a second stroke of paralysis, which she suffered last Friday. About five years ago Mrs. Whitson was first stricken, and she had been a helpless invalid ever since. It was for the purpose of caring for her that Mrs. Ida Whitson removed from Nevada to the home of the lady now deceased. The funeral takes place today. She was left a widow on Oct. 22, 1906, by the death of Mr. Whitson, who was for many years a prominent State Center banker.
