KILLED BY BOILER EXPLOSION

F. H. Voss of Sherman Township is Victim of Traction Engine

F. H. Voss, son of a prominent and wealthy farmer of Sherman township, was mortally hurt in a boiler explosion Thursday at the farm about seven miles northeast of Colo, and he died from hi injuries in an hour. Few details of the accident have come to hand. The engine was an ordinary threshing engine; it was fired up for the purpose of doing some work, and when it got on a head of steam it exploded. Mr. Voss was where he would get the effect of the explosion. The master was evidently regarded in the neighborhood as an unavoidable accident for the coroner was not notified; nor form the reports does it appear that there was occasion for an inquest.

Mr. Voss senior, father of the young man killed, was also within range of the explosion and also severely hurt, getting a broken leg and other injuries, the seriousness of which is not yet understood. The young man is about twenty-two years of age and is a most estimable young fellow.
