Death of Roland Lady

Mrs. J. P. Helland died last Monday at Roland after a short illness. Her funeral was held Thursday at Bergen's church. Her age was near 61. She came from Norway in 1870, and was soon after arrival married to John P. Helland, the companion of her journey. They came directly to Story county, and have reared a large family on the farm southeast of Roland which has been their home. They had lately sold the farm and were preparing to move to Roland.
