MEETS DEATH NEAR DES MOINES
Huxley Man Killed When Car Leaves Grade
Gunder Rullestad, 31, of Huxley died early Sunday of injuries suffered in an auto accident near the Polk county farm Saturday night He was driving the car.
His brother, James Rullestad, 32, and a friend, Elmer R. Erickson, were released from the county jail Sunday after questioning by Coroner William Carpenter.
Two Were Asleep
Dr. Carpenter said James Rullestad and Erickson told him they were asleep when the car left the highway, struck a pole and finally stopped in a ditch. Neither was injured except for a bruise.
Rullestad died at Broadlawns General hospital without regaining consciousness. His skull was crushed.
The body was taken to the Larson funeral home at Huxley. Dr. Carpenter said no inquest would be held. Register.
