From Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care obituary, Ames, Story County, Iowa:

Kathryn E. Wheelock age 103, of Nevada, Iowa died September 13, at Story County Senior Care in Nevada, where she has been a resident for the last eight years. A visitation will be 10:00- 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, with a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial all at St. Patrick Catholic Church 1110 11th Street Nevada, Iowa.

Kathryn was born July 28, 1913 in Nevada, Iowa the daughter of Joseph L. and Kathryn Wheelock. She attended rural school until the 8th grade and graduated from Nevada High School. She worked at Newton Lumber for several years before going to the USDA Service Center office in Nevada where she retired. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church of Nevada and enjoyed bowling and traveling.

She is survived by nieces and nephews.
