Wilma M. Munson was born on May 16, 1925 to Roy and Eva (Sells) Hartman in Gowrie, Iowa. She married Arnold C. Munson on March 10, 1946 in Marshalltown. He died August 18, 1999. Wilma worked as a nurse at Story County Hospital and Bethany Manor for many years. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church and Friends and Service. Wilma enjoyed bowling, baking, cooking, gardening, reading, her dogs, caring for others, and was an avid Iowa State fan. She especially enjoyed her family and grandchildren and spending summers at Spirit Lake.

Wilma passed away at 91 years of age on September 15, 2016 at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.

Wilma is survived by two daughters, Kathi (Ali) Vaezi of Hackettstown, New Jersey and Carol (Charlie) Strom of Roland; five grandchildren, Sarah, Holly, Tara, Logan and Caden; two great-grandchildren, Ashlyn and Avery; and many great nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arnold; a son, David; her sister, Wanda Millard; and a brother, Roy Hartman.

Memorials may be made to Bethany Life Community or Salem Lutheran Church.
