Duane "Robbie" Robinson, 77, died Friday, March 5, 2004 of cancer at Taylor House. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 8 at Grandview Park Funeral Home, with burial at the Nevada, IA Cemetery.

Duane was born in Nevada, IA, moved to Ankeny and lived in Des Moines most of his life. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and retired from Firestone Tire Manufacturing. Duane was an expert rose gardener and enjoyed fishing and sports.

He is survived by his sons, Todd and Doug Robinson; daughters, Debbie Stalter and Diane Frye; and eleven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean in 1988.

Family will greet friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to InTrust Hospice Taylor House.
