From Stevens Memorial Chapel obituary, Ames, Story County, Iowa:

Mildred "Tiny" Lewis of Ames, passed away July 9, 2016 at Belmond Rehabilitation Center in Belmond, IA surrounded by her loving family. A visitation will be held from 11:00am to 12:00pm on Tuesday July 12, 2016 at Stevens Memorial Chapel (607 28th St., Ames, Iowa 50010). Funeral Service will begin at 12:00pm Tuesday July 12, 2016 at Stevens Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow services in the Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Mildred Maxine Lewis was born August 7, 1923 in Pilot Mound, IA. to Fred and Myrtle (McCormick) Curry. She attended Dawson High School and was a standout player on the Basketball team. She married Raymond Lewis on January 7, 1946. She worked various jobs before opening Lewis Country Flower Shop with her husband Raymond. She owned and operated the Lewis County Flower Shop for 12 years before retiring.

Tiny will be remembered by those who knew her for her sassy personality and sense of humor, she enjoyed working on puzzles and crocheting afghans for her family especially the newest members. She loved to play cards and spent as much time as she could at the local casino playing penny slots for the thrill, and she enjoyed the social interaction with others. She was known for making the best cinnamon rolls and Texas sheet cake you ever tasted.

Tiny was preceded in death by her husband; Raymond, her parents; Fred and Myrtle, three sisters and one brother. She is survived by her daughter; Sharon (James) Price of Clarion, IA., special niece; Mary Jo (Jerry) Mentzer of Boone, IA., grandson; Todd (Joni) Price, granddaughters; Tami (Jeff) Bulman, Trudy (Doug) Clawson, great-grandsons; Blake (Sarah) Price, Dillon (Whitney) Clawson, Mason Bulman, great-granddaughters; Kelcie Price, Addi Bulman, Ellie Bulman, Emma Bulman and great-great-granddaughter; Emily Price.
