Dorothy Ann Greene (nee Brown) returned to her Father in Heaven July 27, 2016 after a brief battle with cancer.

Dorothy was born August 30, 1945 in Broken Bow, Neb. She graduated from Grand Island High School in 1963 and was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Grand Island. Dorothy worked as a moving and storage consultant in Burlington, Iowa, Des Moines, Kansas City, and Grand Island. Upon her retirement, Dorothy enjoyed volunteering and then working as a docent at the Stuhr Museum of the Prairie Pioneer in Grand Island. At the time of her death, she was living near family in Ames, Iowa.

Dorothy is survived by two sons, Robert (Carol) Greene of Fort Collins, Colo. and Dennis (Jeanette) Greene of Ames, Iowa; her foster daughter, Stefanie (Kelly) Brees of Frankfort, Kan.; seven grandchildren; and her brother, Michael Brown of Firth, Neb.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Lucile (Stone) Brown.
